In our lives, sometimes it can be very overwhelming with stressful events that could cause stress upon our bodies. Relaxation techniques are very important for each and every one of us to look after ourselves, to make sure we can let go of all the stress and tension in our body.

Different people have different techniques that work better for them. Make sure you check out the list of relaxation techniques below and see which one works best for you!

    1. Meditation – Mediation is a method of training your mind and body, to redirect the focus of your thoughts. There are many benefits that mediation is well known for, such as helping enhance the overall well-being of a person, and it is a great tool to help enhancing calmness and relaxation, as well as reducing stress.

Here are a few steps for meditation beginners
    1. Find a perfect quiet spot of your choice

Some great suggestions here to de-stress and focus less on what is going on in our heads and more on our surroundings - a really useful way to get through the day more easily and also tell our bodies/inform our minds that we are relaxing and to not bother us!
Our brains like to play tricks on us and so therefore when we start focusing on the horizon or on simple and pleasant activities such as stretching, breathing, colouring in or gardening , gets us into a more relaxed state and our resilience kicks in and we can deal with any stresses so much better.

So... happy breathing and relaxing and looking forward to hearing about what works for you :)

I'm a big believer of finding your own mediation. As long as the activity helps you get out of your head, stop overthinking, reduces your heart rate and body tension.
Activities I find relaxing are cooking, playing guitar, going for long walks and riding motorbikes.
There's actually a famous book called 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance'.

    What's your Zen?
