hello everyone! We're getting back into a proper routine with the weekend activities! I'm so sorry there has a bit of a dip the past month, there have been few changes around here with Peace Dove leaving!

But without further ado...Three things too look forward to!

    1. I'm looking forward to getting home tonight and reading a book I've just started! It's about Patti Smith and is very interesting

    2. I have some yummy meals to make this week, so I'm looking forward to having those. I gt a bit out of kilter with my cooking and self-are over the holiday period, so I'm looking forward to getting back into an actual rhythm

    3. I'm looking forward to the year a head. I think that the start of the year has been a bit wild, for everyone, but we can all get through this and find our footing again!

How about all of you guys? What are you looking forward to?

Thanks for the tag @Lhiver and I'm glad you're looking forward to the year ahead. It really has been a tough ride but I can feel a shift happening and I hope it's not just for me............I hope fortune is starting to shift for us all. I identify with the food prep and self care slipping through the holiday period too...........I've been in holiday mode for waaaaaay to long as far as food goes - LOLOLOL

I guess what I'm looking forward to is:

    - getting back into a rhythm with diet , exercise, work, social life. I've been quite out of alignment and I know that balance is key to getting things back on track. My goal is to have my rhythm back into a solid routine by May, my birthday, so I'm trying to be kind to myself and set a solid foundation rather than rushing things and having too great an expectation of myself

    - getting my renovations done by the end of March............they've been on the cards for well over 12 months but restricted by covid. It'll be nice not having a cardboard toilet floor!!

    - this year............like I said, I can feel a shift and I think there's finally some positive steps forwards coming. It's not very specific but I for the first time in a while I'm looking more long term than just trying to get through the next lockdown

I love seeing all of the things you're looking forward to and things that are looking up coming into the new year @Lhiver and @PnorkelPW :)

    I'm looking forward to...

    - Going out with my best friend and seeing my girlfriend on the weekend after being in isolation for a week

    - Playing basketball with my son

    - Getting my new exercise program from my trainer and beginning the next block after losing 10kgs over the past few months

Thanks for the reminder to look forwards @Lhiver ..........I try to live in the moment and stay mindful but it's important to have goals to work towards and things to look forward to. I like your intention to work on your friendships, that's something that I've also made an intention this year.

So now I need to ask myself what it is I'm actually looking forward to.................

    - First I'll say doing some kayaking both by myself and with my daughter. We just went away for a few days and before I left i bought us some kayaks and she loved it! I've had an intention to get one since I moved to the beach almost two years ago but just never pulled the trigger. Now I've got it I want to put it to good use and get out on the water for some mindful activity that'll get me fit at the same time

    - Second is the five days off I've got to myself this week. It's a chance to get the garden into shape, start painting the inside of the house and get some of the fixtures and fittings for my bathroom and laundry.............and just do me for a few days

    - Third is a bit different but it's this year.............I'm really looking forward to this year. I've been able to shift my attitude which has been quite a process. I've been working on it for months but I feel that it's paying off and I'm hitting this year with the right perspective and am focused on creating the life that stimulates and serves me best

Thanks for the reminder @Lhiver, it's always good to acknowledge things to look forward to and focus on a positive forward motion :)

    I'm looking forward to...

    - Having the rest of the week off, much like @PnorkelPW. Coming into the new year we've certainly hit the ground running so it will be nice to have a bit of extra time off this week!

    - Going to visit a couple of my closest friends near Newcastle next weekend for their baby boys 1 year birthday, they are like my family and I miss them alot!

    - Going for a swim over the next few days

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday! to kick off this weekend we're going to share 3 things we're looking forward to!

    1. I'm looking forward to some weekends away I have booked with friends, it has been a long few years so I am really looking forward to getting out of town and having some respite!

    2. I'm looking forward to some cooler weather. I love the warm summers but here in Melbourne it has been a bit suffocating! Also I don't have aircon so that doesn't help

    3. I'm looking forward to getting back int my running, I have to take it day by day to look after my health but just getting a few KM in a week is a nice change!

    How about everyone @Muna @MoodyM00 @Athanasios @Androgene Jo @Emm14 @Chloe7 @Jobestrong @ScorpionPW @Blue74 @initae89 @PnorkelPW

Thanks for the tag @Lhiver ...............I've been slowly building my exercise regime again bit by bit and it's been a big part of turning around my mindset. I hope you enjoy the weekends away, getting out of of town for a bit sounds awesome!

@MoodyM00 sleep, time with your child and some mindfulness...............perfect!!!

Three things I'm looking forward to are...........

    - a trip to Sydney this weekend with my daughter to see my sister, nephew and niece..........maybe even some jet boating

    - a weekend where I can do some kayaking alone. I just want to see how far I can go, enjoy the stillness and get mindful on the
    water for a while

    - more of this feeling that's been building within me. I was really flat, lost and unmotivated for a while there but diet, exercise and
forcing myself off the couch has helped me start to get back on track. There's still a long way to go but I'm a long way from where I
was a couple of months ago............rejuvenated is the word I reckon

Sounds so nice having some time away @PnorkelPW and @Lhiver, I love hearing about people travelling again it's nice to get some sense of normalcy back!

I also love how simple you made it @MoodyM00, it's a good reminder to look forward to and draw gratitude from the simple things in life that I wasn't always able to be present for.

    I'm looking forward to...

    - My best mates professional MMA debut this weekend and going to the live show

    - Watching the NBA all star game with my son tomorrow

    - Getting a well needed goodnight sleep

This weekend I am looking forward to:

1-Spending time with my youngest son

2-Studying Addiction and ways to support loved ones with addiction

3-Finish cleaning my house ready for inspection next week. Decluttering, tidying up, making house presentable and organised. (I have been in such a messy headspace lately and my house looks the same).

What are 3 things you are looking forward to today, this weekend or next week??

@MoodyM00 You've kicked off our weekend activities for this week!

Spending time with your son will be lovely. Also house inspections really are always at the worst times. I always find though that getting my home tidy helps a little with the scattered headspace, they influence each other a lot.

This week I'm looking forward to

    1. House sitting for my mum and spending time with my cat!

    2. Doing some home cooking and getting back on top of a normal eat schedule

    3. Going out of town for a few nights with a friend in two weeks!

    How about everyone else?

I love seeing how active you are on the forums @MoodyM00 and how supportive you are. Having read a few of your posts, your support for others has really shone through. If this is a sign of the work you’ll do when you finish your studies then I reckon you’re going to help a lot of people during their struggles. I related with your comment about headspace and surroundings………….many years ago my bedroom was a reflection of my headspace and if the door was shut then I wasn’t in a good place. When I was travelling well it was open and over time it would slowly close over more and more……….until I cleaned up my lifestyle and room. It’s why I try my hardest to keep my environment tidy now because the two are entwined and is a signal to me that I need to get on top of things before they spiral.

Seems like you’re getting into a good rhythm too @Lhiver ……..routine and connections is a good way to be

3 things I’m looking forward to are:

    - A night of True Crime this weekend seeing a stage show with a friend

    - This long weekend where I’ll get to split it between time with my daughter and time getting my things done

    - The Hoodoo Gurus concert next week………..they were the first band I ever saw live and this was another thing that got rescheduled due to covid so it’s been a long time coming
