Re: 3 things to be grateful for
- recovery from a recent relapse, contacted Turning Point and this forum as well as Smart Recovery for more support in addition to my counsellor, who carried me through Covid lockdowns
- focusing more on developing friendships with people who don't drink
- my health, my cats, my financial frugality, my hope that things will improve and my vision to support my hopes coming true

Re: 3 things to be grateful for
Great gratitude list @Djarrimiri and awesome to hear you're coming back from a relapse
I'm grateful that I've been able to get back to exercise every day so far this year
I'm grateful that I got the week off over Christmas, NYE and was able to refresh and hit the year with a renewed focus
I'm grateful for the adventures I got up to with my daughter for the week which included Phillip Island for the penguins and going old school at the Drive In and some other bits and pieces.................it's experiences that make smiles

Re: 3 things to be grateful for
Gratitude is playing a role in my life at the moment and I seem to be surrounded by people who are giving me a reminder..........
- Today I'm grateful that some of the foundations I've laid at work are starting to bear fruit and enabling me to set better work/life boundaries
- That we're finally hitting a run of sunshine and I'm getting out for some much needed fresh air and vitamin D
- That a good friend who's been struggling with addiction is starting to change her thought processes and coming round to the idea of going to rehab.............without being prompted by others which shows a big shift in acceptance of her problem

- That my mum is doing much better after going through a really rough patch
- That I have such incredible friends that are like family

Re: 3 things to be grateful for
Nice one @ScorpionPW ............getting out of iso must feel great
I'm a bit of a mixed bag with my gratitudes this week...............
- I'm grateful to be going away for a few days tomorrow and getting out of town. It's the first time I've gone away for four days in years so switching off is goin to be amazing
- I'm grateful that AA meetings are there when I need them and provide the connection and identification I need. I went to my second meeting in three weeks on Saturday night after a break of over three years. Something has been calling me back and I'm feeling like I'll be heading to more meetings because of the amazing feeling I had when I left...........and generally always do after a meeting
- I'm grateful that I've been able to invest in life experiences. I find it hard to spend money at times but bought a kayak which I'll pick up tomorrow. It's because I need to give myself a hobby, get outdoors and do something that's good for mind, body and spirit. It'll get me off the couch and give me a sense of achievement. I'm also grateful that I've been able to save the money and have learnt to manage my finances

Re: 3 things to be grateful for
It was definitely a relief to get out after iso @PnorkelPW! It's great to hear that you're finally getting away and also reconnecting with meetings. I've been trying to do more as well and really craving that connection.
Today I'm grateful for...
- Being in a positiong to be able to get a new computer really quickly after mine stopped working in a bit of an emergency situation. Having a good working computer has become such a lifeline with the way things are now!
- Having such dear friends that I can debrief and share life with.
- Having the opportunity to help my son through some difficulties and see him turn things around.

Today I'm grateful for..
- The fact that we finally found an afterschool care program which works well for my son and that he's happy at
- That I only work part time which makes studying a lot less stressful
- That even when I'm tired I have the willingness to exercise and feel so good that I did afterwards

Re: 3 things to be grateful for
Time to get some gratitude happening and get my head in a good space
Today I’m grateful…………..
- To have my friend’s dog here for the next two weeks while she’s on holiday. I’ve wanted a dog for ages but just don’t think my lifestyle would enable me to devote enough time to it so this is a test run to see if it’s a viable option for me. Gotta say though……….24 hours in and I’m enjoying having the company
- To be over a dose of food poisoning. A couple of rough days were had but now I’m in that stage of feeling better where it’s just such a relief not to be where I was
- That I was able to book a weekend in Sydney for my daughter and I in a few weeks. It’s something to look forward to and after so long of being locked down and locked in it’s just amazing to be looking at going interstate again

Today I'm grateful for...
- The fact that I pushed through the discomfort of not wanting to work out after work but doing it anyway and feeling fantastic as a result
- The fact that I can support my son through difficulties he has and know that I am 100% present for him and doing my best
- The fact that I have such an open and creatively minded workplace/manager which makes it so much easier to navigate a very busy time and a lot of conflicting needs

Today I'm grateful for...
- The fact that even though I have COVID, I have a lot of support and everything I need
- My son being able to go to his mums house this weekend so I can get some well needed rest
- The fact that my close friends and mum are safe after going through the floods and losing everything, it's a real reminder of what's important, material potpsessions can always be replaced but we only get one life.
