Hi All..........so we've got a new look forum and I thought I'd take this opportunity to introduce myself again

I'm @PnorkelPW and I'm one of the Peers on the forums along with @ScorpionPW

Originally there was a Thursday thread with the intention of helping with tips about how to stay sober on the weekend but now we have this new Thursday theme where you can start new threads. I lived in active addiction for over 20 years and have been in recovery for a bit over 6 years now. Drugs, alcohol, gambling, sex and porn have all had negative effects on my life and at varying times some or all of them were actively causing me harm. There were times where I was living comfortably, times where I was suicidal and everything in between. I was married with a daughter and a house and then ended up on my own with $13 in my pocket and relying on friends and being very unsettled. Addiction almost took my life.

After many, many attempts to change my lifestyle and stay abstinent I have finally been able to put this 6 years together. I went from not being able to get through a few hours, to finding hope. Recovery hasn't been easy but that's because life has its challenges...........only now I don't need to turn to my addictions to cope.

I'm on the forums every Monday and Thursday night between 8pm - 10pm to respond to posts and share my experience. I already said that recovery hasn't been easy but one bad day in recovery is better than any good day I had in addiction. If you want a direct response from myself or @ScorpionPW then just tag us in your post and we'll respond when we're next online.
