That sounds so frustrating, @Minnie mouse! I really admire your ability to keep joking and smiling even when the going is tough!

Re: Checking in to share my day
Thanks teapot, its been 6 weeks since I last worked, my own fault coz I stuffed up by not owning up to my cannabis use to start with. But the policy at work is fairly new and I think they are just winging it, at my expense, no wages coming in is making it hard. Thanks for listening to my venting. Chatting here makes it so much easier to get over shit. I must admit I stew on stuff a lot. You guys are like a feel good for me along with chocolate

I'm really glad you're finding it useful here @Minnie mouse ! It really helps having a space to vent and share how you're feeling. Not having money coming in is really stressful, but it does sound like you're keeping a positive outlook and finding other ways things to focus on right now.
Whats on for the weekend?

@Peace Dove yes I did, did a swab test first up and met with management, signed agreement for regular testing for 3 months, offered continuous support, got a big hug from HR gal and my work buddies. It was so good to be back, definitely worth the difficult time I've had the last few weeks. They will also pay for extra EAP sessions with the psychologist. So I'm rapt

Re: Checking in to share my day
Thanks @Peace Dove getting back to work has been my main goal, so that has been a big part of my driving force. Also the support I've had from my hubby and grown up kids has been awesome. Finding this group , sharing my thoughts and feelings, and the advice I have got, the positive responses, and reading others stories have been the so inspiring. I feel like a different person to how I felt about myself when I started engaging with you guys. I've found a new love of my job now, and realize that I was taking so many aspects of my life for granted. I know now that I deserve the joy I get from even the little things in life. So now I'm clean I think I will be able to deal with the inevitable shit that happens in every person's life, without resorting to the weed. Much love

Re: Checking in to share my day
I love what you've said here about knowing you deserve the joy that life gives you @Minnie mouse. I think one thing a lot of people, and I myself at one point have struggled with is believing that we are worthy of positivity and of having good things happen in life.
It wasn't until I learnt that I wasn't responsible for my addiction but that I was responsible for my recovery that I could forgive myself enough to believe I was worthy of a new way of life. It would be great to know what has helped you to believe you are worthy and what are some of these little things that bring you joy?
I get a lot of enjoyment out of reading your posts and seeing the change that you share with us all here, thanks so much for sharing you journey with us
