3 things to look forward to

Thanks for the tag @Lhiver, I've been enjoying a weekend away every now and then as well and more grateful for it than ever before. Where are you off to? And the smell of coffee in the morning always brings me a smile

This week I'm looking forward to...

- Catching up with some friends and heading to a meeting on Friday night

- Having some quality time with my son

- Watching some NBA games when I get a chance

I like looking forwards.............as they say...........if you drive looking in the rearview mirror you're bound to crash

3 things I'm looking forward to:

- my renovations being finished so I can have a toilet back inside

- some live music I've got tickets for in November/December...........Guns N' Roses being one of those concerts!!

- the weather improving so that when I get up in the morning I'm deciding what pair of shorts to wear instead of pants, jackets, and beanies!!

Today I'm looking forward to...

- Going down to Torquay with my girlfriend on the weekend to watch one of my best mates fight in a pro mma fight

- Getting my next 2 units if study finished within the next couple of weeks

- Beginning another round of training delivery next week

Okay, everyone, I thought this week it might be good to hold some space for whatever we're looking forward to. Having things on the horizon can keep us motivated during recovery and provide a reminder of why we're doing this all in the first place!


1. I'm looking forward to seeing some friends this week, I've been unwell so it'll be nice to have some social time again.

2. Travel plans, they're still a way away but after so long in Aus it'll be nice to head off overseas finally!

3. Going to a few gigs. Again this was something that sort of fell off after covid but I have some tickets from shows from December to March so I'm pretty pumped!

1. Looking forward to the Christmas break to do nothing.

2. Looking forward to a new year to put this year behind me.

Three things I’m looking forward to at the moment are:

- A two week break in January. This will be spent mostly with my daughter and I’m hoping to get away somewhere………..although I’m leaving it a bit late to book anywhere

- The Guns N’ Roses concert!!! It’s finally here after being delayed through lockdowns and I can’t wait!!!

- Having a kitchen again………..it’s been out of action for two weeks and won’t be useable for another two weeks. It’s really throwing me out of routine and my diet is suffering

Today I'm looking forward to...

- Having my study for the year done at the end of this week

- Having some time on the weekend to recharge after what is going to end up being an exceptionally busy week

- Seeing my son play basketball on Saturday morning

- Start job with new employer Thursday, which means more money, motivation, energy, endorphins, excersice...and ultimately, happiness.

- My daughter, partner and I will be going to Christmas breakfast at my sister's, who recently (ish) had baby boy. And then family lunch etc at my dad's with said sister and other half siblings. My daughter will love it.

- Having money in order to service our car, and also keep the fuel gauge stapled to full...

@qboln I'm sorry to hear that, I hope you're able to have a peaceful time now. Do you have specific techniques to help with the "restraint" as you said? Or ways to manage urges?

Generally I'm able to manage.

Bunch of semi major things happening in life at the moment, in a short amount of time. Guess i just lost myself for a moment... Followed by a whole heap of moments

I've had a bit of a week where things have felt like they've piled up @qboln .............it's great that you had the self awareness to realise

I can relate @PnorkelPW and @qboln...This week things have piled up big time. I am feeling the strain of everything at work, delivering training, study ramping up and everything at home with the challenges I am having with my son. It's good to be able to talk about it and chunk things down a day at a time..

This week I am looking forward to...

- Having a few nights to myself with my son going to visit my mum for a few nights.

- Going out to a meeting and dinner with friends on Friday night.

- Getting a new sound system put in my car on Monday.
