Hi everyone,
We understand that weekends are the hardest moment of the week for many trying to kick-off an addiction. For this reason, we’re going to be having weekly activities on Saturday and Sunday. The main goal is for everyone to be able to connect with other members at the same time, get support and advice from the community, as well as the motivation, inspiration and conviction to keep pushing yourself forward on this journey.
- 3 things to be grateful for...: share things you are grateful for today, in your life, in your week....
For example:
•Being able to connect with you all through this forum
•The love of my friends and family
•The adversities I have overcome in life
•The warmth between my bed and the sheets
Sundays, alternating fortnightly with “Share your favourite quotes”.
We hope you find the activities useful, fun and entertaining. Any feedback will help us keep improving this space for the benefit of all.
The new activities will be running in addition to our weekly Monday Meetup and Thursday Check-in meetings.
Looking forward to seeing you around the forums.

@Peace Dove 3 things that I am grateful for are the lovely weather we've had this weekend, cooking with vegetables that I grow in the garden, and relaxing after a fun day of shopping with my granddaughter.

Re: 3 things to be grateful for
Love this thhread.........gratitude escapes me sometimes and I needed to see this today
Today I'm grateful:
- That I got to wear shorts when it's almost winter
- That extra work I've put in recently has paid off and taken some pressure off
- That I got to see this forum and remind myself to be grateful

Re: 3 things to be grateful for
I feel I'm going to try and post on this thread every time I'm on here.............need to get more gratitude back in my life
When I was in rehab we used to go round the kitchen table every night for dinner and say three things we were grateful for and I really miss it........living alone it's easy to forget to do
Three things from today:
- The acceptance and resilience of the residents at work when told we're going back into lockdown and they need to cancel all their plans
- Feedback from another staff member forcing me to reflect on my communication
- The relationship I have with my ex-wife and support we can offer our daughter and each other during challenging times

@Simply me love the "oops, went over...oops"

@Craig PW, yes, do share every time you're on here.
It's a great habit I think, and I understand the forgetting because living alone... Thank you too for sharing!
Here go 3 mine:
-I'm grateful lockdown 4.0 in Victoria gave me time to catch up with friends and family from my home country
-I'm grateful I went to kmart before the lockdown
-I'm grateful I moved right on time before lockdown too

Three things I'm grateful for today:
- the drive to and from work I found that takes me ten minutes longer each day but goes through country roads instead of freeways
- seeing my neighbour's bins out which reminded me to put mine out -
- freshly mown lawns

Re: 3 things to be grateful for
I need some gratitude today……….it was a tough one
Today I’m grateful for:
- The smile my daughter gave me when I saw for the first time in two weeks
- The warm sun during winter
- Other people admitting they’re struggling which helps me feel like I’m not alone
