Hi @Tired_mummy23. Thanks for your interest in the study. The current study is only recruiting women. But keep an eye on the forums and social media pages for other studies we may be recruiting for.

Hi @EMMI thanks for sharing. Just wanted to raise a couple of issues with this study. I'm not sure what your involvement is with the study but perhaps you are able to pass feedback along to the investigators.

Firstly, it's an ethical issue to offer people a reimbursement but then not stipulate how much the payment is going to be. People should know beforehand how much they will be reimbursed so they can decide if it's worth their time and effort to participate or not.

Additionally, and this is something that I've found by engaging with a lot of consumers, most people prefer to be paid in money rather than being limited to a gift card. Most people have PayID enabled these days and it's easy to transfer money into people's accounts.

I think it's great that this sort of research is happening but researchers should be putting the consumer first and be transparent about what they are offering.

Hi @Judas thanks for your feedback on the study. We appreciate it.
The ethics committee in AOD research stipulates that we only provide reimbursement in terms of gift cards, rather than cash/payment transfer using PayID. This may however be different depending on the type of study.
In this particular study if someone expresses interest we get in contact via phone and do an eligibility screening, here is where we inform them of the reimbursement. Regardless of being eligible, there is no obligation beyond this to participate.
We understand it would be useful to know the reimbursement before having a phone call and getting to that stage. I have passed on your feedback about this to the research team.

    Thanks again :)
