Re: Iboga Plant
Hi @Iboga-plant
I'd never heard of it but have just spent a few minutes googling. I know there is a lot of research going on at the moment with psilocybin and it's having some really interesting results for some people. All I can say is that care is needed and I'd be talking to professionals and doing credible research before experimenting with anything of the kind.
What's your knowledge of the plant?
What's your interest in it the plant?
And what are you hoping to learn about it?
I must say that I've started to develop an interest in alternative therapies because we need a range of approaches that may be more suited to individuals. There's definitely no one approach fits all when it comes to addiction and recovery.

@Iboga-plant This forum exists primarily to help people to reduce their use rather than explore new psychoactive substances so you might find more information on another platform. Good luck and be safe

Re: Iboga Plant
I have a book which has some information on this plant. I'll summarise for you what it says.
[*] Ibogaine is the active principle of the African hallucinogenic plant iboga
[*] Although the iboga root is very uncommon outside of Africa, the pure drug ibogaine can be manufactured synthetically and sold on the black market
[*] It is a long-acting psychedelic resembling LSD in effect with stronger stimulant properties
[*] Africans who consume iboga in all-night ceremonies involving vigorous dancing may stay up the next day and night until the stimulation wears off and they eventually fall into a deep sleep
[*] Ibogaine has recently made the news as a possible new treatment for opiate addiction. Several heroin addicts discovered that a single ibogaine session eliminated their cravings for narcotics. More research is needed before ibogaine becomes an accepted treatment for addiction
From the book: From chocolate to morphine by Andrew Weil & Winifred Rosen.
Hope this helps.
