Re: Keeping occupied
I am new to this - can anyone guide me to a chat space with likeminded AOD individuals curving their addictions, abilities and stregnths ... albeit here on this page, turning point, SMART, AOD (other sites??) - to have a sense of connectedness and shared experiences (in addition to those AOD chaired)??? Any feedback/suggestion will be key

Thanks for your post Xaviour
Great you can be here. The one other thing I can think of is the daybreak app which has an online community and strategies/goals etc for maintaining change. https://hellosundaymorning.org/
And SMART of course.

Re: Keeping occupied
Hi @Xaviour, thanks for sharing, I could also recommend 12 step groups. They helped me a lot on my journey. Have you ever tried any other kind of groups other than what you mentioned?
Here are some links to find 12 step meetings if you want to have a look:

Re: Keeping occupied
Now that I have completed my third (and hopefully final) detox, I am going to checkout some AA meetings.
I found this handy: https://aagroup.org.au/#Directories

Awesome that you're straight out and straight into the meetings............that's a great way to stay focused and keep occupied
Keep us posted on how things are going for you and what else you do to keep yourself busy

Re: Keeping occupied
@Daz much better to be focused on exercise than other stuff
Sounds like things have been a bit up and down.............I hope you're on the mend now
Keep up the exercise. It's good for mind, body, n soul. I know my day is so much better when I start with a gym or swim and that's a natural feeling I really like
