Hi everyone,
To get into the weekend with a positive mindset, we’ll be running weekly activities! The purpose of these activities is to create a space to share positivity, support each other and build community connections. The weekends can be a difficult time for many, so we want to make sure we’re able to create a space for positive discussions to help keep that motivation and self-confidence going!
This activity is called 3 things to look forward to: share three things that you’re looking forward to!
For example:
• Watching the footy on Sunday + having the kids over the weekend + having one week off drinking
• Getting my full drivers licence + enjoying the sunset at the beach + a weekly call with mum and dad
• Seeing my best mate on Tuesday + getting a response from the job I recently applied to + smashing my recovery goals
This will be running Saturdays all day, alternating fortnightly with “Turning the negative into positive”.
Please let us know what you think of these new activities. We want to create a positive space for everyone, so it will be great to know what you guys think.
The new activities will be running in addition to our weekly Monday Meetup and Thursday Check-in meetings.
Excited to see what you all have to look forward to!

Alright everyone! This Saturday we're thinking of 3 things we're looking forward to! It can be this weekeend, next week or even in a few years, just anything that's keeping you going!
I'll start off
I'm looking forward to seeing my mum and family tomorrow for dinner!
I'm looking forward to finally saving enough to get a car! (Although I'm not sure when that will be lol)
I'm looking forward to finishing my study at the end of this year!
@Minnie mouse , @Deyfhob , @Alvarosyd and @Katiee Have you guys got somethings your looking forward to?

Re: 3 things to look forward to
I am looking forward to going to a market tomorrow with my daughter and 2 granddaughters, on Monday I am going out with my other daughter and grandson to meet my newborn grandson. On Thursday I have my first face to face counseling session and hopefully can return to work next week.

@Minnie mouse That's a few wonderful things to look forward to. You must be very excited to be meeting your new grandson and to spend some time with family! Good luck for the counselling session, speaking to someone face to face can seem like a daunting prospect at first, but it is a great step forward.

Three things to look forward to
1. Developing my career to a manager level which I have been working hard towards
2. See my puppy grow up into a gorgeous dog
3. Mornings without a hangover!
I’m very grateful for this group and my partner for the great support.
Today I have been sober for 8 days!

Re: 3 things to look forward to
It's so good to see @Minnie mouse, @Alvarosyd & @TheDees talk about things to be grateful for/look forward to.
Such an important part of recovery for me has been finding things to look forward to get out of bed in the morning for. Creating new connections and building a life worth living.
3 things I'm looking forward to are my son going to his mums house on Saturday night so I can have a night to myself to catch up with friends, going to my other job on Monday (which I love so much) and feeling recharged tomorrow after a good night sleep

Re: 3 things to look forward to
@Lhiver Hhhmm this can be bit tricky in the now, my fella's had some **** health news, things to look forwards to count all the more because of it eh. Some great news round that would be awesome. Aparts from that, unwrapping the botanical dyed fabrics I've just been cooking in big ol pot for 5 hours tommorow morning, after they cool down and seeing what colours have appeared, and simply being with the beings I dig......
